Ever wonder what it’s like to work with us? We are THRILLED to present this series in December all about who we are and what we do! Check back as we explain a different aspect of what happens at Wild Home Podcasting.

Let’s start at the beginning! First things first — how do you launch a podcast?

With Wild Home Podcasting’s Launch Guide you will have all the help you need to get your voice on the digital airwaves. Launching a podcast is so much more than having a place for your audio.

Our Launch Guide service provides you with accountability and actionable steps so you can get your idea off the ground. When you’ve completed your launch you will have a fully set up host and feed for your podcast, and a polished, reusable intro and outro. You will also get a teaser trailer or welcome episode to help promote the launch of your new podcast. Finally, you will be equipped to keep your podcast going.

  1. Purpose or Mission Statement. If you don’t have one yet, we have a couple of independent exercises to help you develop yours. This statement is your podcast’s North Star and will guide the choices you make as a podcaster. It should encompass your motivation, what you hope to accomplish, who you hope to address. While it’s a cornerstone, it can grow and change. You might find, as you grow as a podcaster, that your direction and vision has become clearer and requires a pivot down the road. You can listen to THIS episode from our archives or check out the posts under the Podcast Launch Prep tab!

  2. Music, Intro/Outro, and Cover Art. Once you have a mission statement and have a sense of what your podcast is about, we move on to choosing music and how to record your intro and outro. Finding “your” music often sparks an ah-ha moment for podcasters to-be. There’s finally a thing that’s yours, that is representative and associated with your budding podcast. After that, creating the intro and outro flows a bit easier. Your cover art for your podcast should be easy to read and identify. Keep in mind that it is a 1500px square. Our goal is to make sure there’s consistency amongst all the elements of your podcast.

  3. RSS Feed Setup. After we’ve got all the pieces of your new podcast, we will setup an RSS Feed. This is a very technical part of podcasting that often overwhelms new podcasters. We LOVE taking this over for you!

  4. Getting Your Episodes on #alltheplaces Once the RSS feed is setup, we make sure your episodes are where they need to be. We help get your feed submitted to important destinations plus a few lesser known places that are important. We also wake up early the morning of your launch to make sure everything is going smoothly.

Our mission with the Launch Guide runs deeper than making your new podcast available to listeners. We want to help you lay a foundation to build upon and feel confident as you launch your voice into the world. For more information or to get started with your launch click HERE.
