Resources for Starting Your Podcast

It’s the new year and as many do, time to start something new! You may be thinking about starting a podcast but do not know where to start. Believe me, when my podcast idea came to me years ago, there was a TON of internet searches and Facebook posts that said, “Help!" because I had no idea what I was doing.

By some kind of miracle, we were able to pull everything together and get our podcast launched. However, it took a few months! My hope in pulling this information together is that it will help you get launched and get going on your podcast sooner than later.

So where do you start? I always recommend starting by sitting down and recording. Start getting a feel for your intro, outro, and overall structure of your podcast. You don’t need a fancy microphone to get started. I started out with this one and still prefer it.

Next, start checking off the list. There are a lot of pieces you will need to get together. Grab my podcast launch checklist to start gathering all the things you need to get launched. Once you have everything together, you can start tackling the actual launch.

Last, get ready to launch. Launching a podcast can be tedious and there is a lot you have to do to get your podcast into the ears of people on all devices and platforms. If you want to dip your toe in the process, you can take my Free 5 Day Podcast Launch Challenge.
