How I Manage Work and Life

When I tell people that I homeschool and own my own business, people are usually amazed  . . . which I don’t love because in my mind, I’m just a mom doing her thing! 

Here’s the thing. I’m not naturally an organized, morning person, but this life we’ve chosen to live has taught me a lot about getting things done. It’s not perfect. We have good days and bad days but we are able to make things happen around here because 

Here are my 5 top tips for managing work and life:

  1. Become a morning person. I’ve never been a morning person but I found that was the one time of day I wasn’t utilizing. Now, getting up early and working saves me SO much time throughout my day and allows me more time with my kids.

  2. Develop a daily rhythm. Think about your day and what times you naturally like to do things. Instead of scheduling everything, think of it more as a flow throughout your day.

  3. Learn to ask for help. You can’t do everything. Learn to ask for help whether that’s with the groceries or your business tasks.

  4. Simple is better. Remember, simple is better. You don’t need to pack your days and weeks. Pull out what you don’t need and start living more simply and your life will feel so much more manageable. One person that’s really helped me with this is Allie Casazza. Check her out!

  5. Give Yourself Grace. Your days will not always go to plan but give yourself grace to know that it’s totally ok and you can adjust if need be.
